With a lot of uncertainty around the future of the NBA, it’s easy to forget that there is still a lot to be excited about.
So, let’s take a look at the three most likely scenarios for the 2017-18 season:1.
The Pacers win the 2017 NBA Finals.
That seems like a very realistic option.
After all, they’re one of the best teams in the league.
The problem is that they’re not exactly a title contender yet.
But the playoffs are a long way off, and they have the potential to go deep in the first round.
They could win their second straight title if they get there and win out.
If they don’t, they might have to start looking at trading the two best players on the roster.2.
The Kings lose the 2017 Finals.
This is the most likely scenario.
They’re currently the only team that doesn’t have a franchise player on the team.
They’ve already lost five straight games and are on the verge of falling out of the playoffs.
The last thing the Kings want is another series loss, especially when they’ve already had three playoff series losses in the last five years.
If the Kings do end up losing to the Celtics, they could get another shot at the title with another win.3.
The Spurs lose the 2016 NBA Finals, and the NBA moves to a new format that would make it easier for teams to advance in the postseason.
There is no guarantee that this will happen, but this would definitely be a great way to end a season.
The next year would be a bit different.
With the exception of the Spurs, every team has two years remaining on their contracts.
So the Spurs would be stuck with the 2016-17 season for the next five years (assuming they didn’t trade Davis before that).
They have to get their team in the playoffs in 2017-19, and if they do, they’d have the opportunity to get a better deal with a future pick in 2020.
If not, the Spurs have a chance to move on from Davis and the team is still in a great spot heading into the 2020-21 season.4.
The Heat lose the 2018 NBA Finals to the Knicks, and LeBron James retires.
Miami has the best chance to make the playoffs, and James would be 34 years old by then.
If he retires, the Heat could be in a similar position to the Kings, and it wouldn’t be a surprise if they got swept by the Cavaliers.
LeBron James is gone, but the team could still be contenders heading into 2020-22.5.
The Clippers lose to the Lakers, and Blake Griffin retires with the team after three seasons.
This seems like an unlikely scenario.
Griffin had a disappointing rookie year and could end up looking like a bust in the post-Jordan era.
He would also be 33 years old, which is too old for the Clippers.
They would have to give up an upcoming draft pick and would be hard-pressed to get another one.
The Lakers would have the perfect opportunity to grab Griffin, who is one of their most valuable assets.6.
The Raptors lose to Toronto, and Kyle Lowry retires after one season.
Lowry was a solid NBA player last season, but he’s not a star.
He was a decent starter in the mid-90s, but has regressed in the past few seasons.
The Cavs and Raptors would likely both have to trade for him, but that’s the only realistic scenario.7.
The Celtics lose to Golden State, and Kevin Durant retires as the coach.
The Warriors would have a clear path to the Western Conference Finals, but losing Durant is probably a big enough obstacle to get them there.
This would also allow the Celtics to get rid of Rajon Rondo.
The team could also go in a different direction by trading for another top-five pick.
The biggest reason to believe that all of the above scenarios are likely, however, is that there are a lot more unknowns that can change.
The biggest problem that could stop this team from being in the Finals is that it would have lost James.
So far this season, James has averaged 26.9 points per game while shooting 45.2% from three-point range.
He is one in a long line of players who could potentially go down with a serious injury.
But if he can return to form, he could help turn this team around.
If LeBron can return, it could change things in a big way.
If Kevin Durant is unable to return, this team could end as one of two playoff teams that will be in the Western Finals.
But there are plenty of teams that could make a run at the Finals this season if they can win a series and a playoff series.
If this team can pull off those three things, they’ll have a strong chance at winning the NBA title.
