Titans TV, the UK’s version of HBO, will premiere its UK version in 2018, with the first episode airing on Wednesday, February 11.
Titans TV is currently in the process of finding a UK production company to produce the series, which will be directed by David Wain.
“Titans is an ambitious and ambitious project.
I’ve worked in TV for over a decade and have seen the big stars in TV come and go and I’m excited to be able to help bring it to life,” said Titans TV’s executive producer, Mike Williams.
“The UK is a wonderful place to work, to shoot, to work with great actors and a great team of producers.
We’ve got the UK production house, we’ve got producers and we’ve managed to bring a really ambitious and exciting project to life.”
Titans TV will be available on demand across all platforms from the BBC iPlayer, Sky and Virgin Media.
The series is being developed by BBC Studios and is produced in association with the BBC and Titan Studios, with executive producers Mike Williams, Andrew Scott, Simon Coady, James Naughtie and Matthew Richardson, with writer/executive producer Andrew Smith.
Titans also has an American adaptation in the works, and the UK has already produced an adaptation of The League of Gentlemen, the British sci-fi comedy that has aired in the US since 2005.
Titans is the first series to be developed by the British television company and is expected to premiere on BBC iPlay, BBC One and BBC Two in 2018.
