Netflix announced it has picked up the highly anticipated “Invincible” series, starring Marlon Wayans as a retired high school basketball star.
The series is set in the 1980s, and stars Wayans and Will Smith as a team of former high school players, led by “The Undertaker” who is one of the biggest stars in the WWE.
The news came on the heels of Netflix’s recent acquisition of Marvel’s “Thor: Ragnarok,” which stars Chris Hemsworth and Tom Hiddleston as the two Norse Gods.
The acquisition will see “Invidia” series “Invaders” move from Netflix to Netflix next year.
The show follows the lives of three high school students who are recruited by a powerful villain named “The Hulk” to help him steal a secret weapon.
The Hulk has used the weapon to control a super-powered force known as the Sentinels, and he is the one who created “The Darkforce,” which was used to take over Earth.
The three students are set to meet with “The Avengers” and learn about the power of the Sentins, which will give them new powers and abilities.
