If you’re a regular TV watcher, then chances are you’ve already been warned that it’s going to be a very long winter in Australia.
But, according to the Snowfall TV series, the weather isn’t quite as bad as you think it is.
“The Australian weather is always pretty unpredictable, but this year is not one of those years,” series creator and star David Cairns says.
“There’s still a little bit of snow around the country, but not nearly as much as in the past few years.”
“It’s still an awesome year, but we’ve also had some really bad storms, which are pretty devastating,” he adds.
Snowfall can affect TV and movie viewers, as it can affect the way the world looks and feels.
The show is about a woman called Sarah, who is a TV weather reporter in Australia and is tasked with covering snowfall from coast to coast.
“Sarah’s got her own snowfall diary and a snow-tracking app that’s been on her phone for a while,” Cairnes says.
The series follows Sarah as she reports on the news of snowfall across the country and the lives of the people who live in and around cities.
“It can be very, very personal for her,” Cairs says.
Sarah’s diary is full of news from around the world, from the snow-covered Australian Alps to the snow covered US coast.
This year, she is on the lookout for snow that has fallen on the Great Barrier Reef.
“In some areas, there’s been a lot of rain and snow falling in the last few days, and in other areas there’s not been as much,” Carts says.
Snow is a major problem for the average Australian, but it can also affect the lives and jobs of TV viewers.
“If you’re an average Australian and you’re working, there will be a lot more weather impacts that you’re going to see, but if you’re in a position to be able to weather a storm, that’s where you’re really going to feel the effects,” Crows says.
